Area Code and Prefix Help
The area code for this state is (575). The prefix for this phonebook is (unless otherwise noted) 835. So if a number is listed as "5434" the fully qualified number (in the US) would be (575) 835-5434.
If the number has a prefix, just add the (575) in front for the fully qualified number.

The first thing to note is that all searches are case independent. This means that the search does not differentiate between upper and lower case.
For personnel, the format of the entries that you will be searching on is "Lastname, Firstname". Note the "comma-space" in between the last and first names. This can be used to your advantage if you only want to search on the last or first name (see examples below).
You may also use wild cards to help in your search of a specific individual or department. Wild cards may be placed at any point in the search text and may be used more that once. There is an assumed asterisk (match any) at the end of all searches. The following two characters are the acceptable wild cards for this application:
| * (asterisk) | This wild card matches zero or more of any character. An asterisk by itself will match all items in the database. |
| ? (question mark) | This wild card matches a single character. |
Examples:
| *barr | Would match any entry with the string "barr" anywhere in the name (e.g., "Barret, Julie" and "Jordan, Barry") |
| barr | Would match any entry starting with "barr" (e.g., "Barret, Julie" and "Barr, Rose", but not "Jordan, Barry") |
| *, d?n | Would search for any last name (note the comma-space) and a first name that starts with "d", has any letter as the second, an "n" for the third, and any number of more characters at the end (remember the implied * at the end). (e.g., "Smith, Dan", and "Johnson, Don", but not "Smith, Dave") |
